The diagnosis of headache is generally made by a qualified clinician using:
- A detailed history of the headache, its development and other associated factors
- A thorough clinical examination
- A diagnostic test such as a MRI scan if needed

No referral is required in advance of booking a Fast Track Clinic appointment, unless you wish to reclaim the cost from your Private Medical Insurance in which instance a GP referral will be required. For a small additional fee we can include a GP assessment in your appointment if one is required by your insurer – please just request this at time of booking.
